TEI Group contracted in NYC's historic urban renewal project

TEI Group wins contract to construct and install six (6) elevators at the new mixed-use development complex in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

In the heart of the Lower East Side of Manhattan lies Essex Crossing, an unprecedented development comprised of 1.9 million square feet of residential, commercial, and community space. The nine sites on six acres, commonly known as the Seward Park Extension Urban Renewal Area (SPEURA), have sat mostly vacant since 1967 and represent one of the most significant urban renewal developments in the history of New York City. Phased construction is expected to begin in the late Spring/early Summer of 2015 and to be completed by 2024.
