TEI Group contributes to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation
The metropolitan area's real estate and construction community united again to raise $1 million for the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. In its history, the Empire Ball has raised nearly $35 million for diabetes research.
During the program, Carl R. Kuehner III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Building and Land Technology, was presented with the Leadership Award. William Sotomayor, Regional Director, New York at Ware Malcomb, received the Camillo Ricordi Humanitarian Award. AvifiItzikowitz, Director of Operations at ATCO Properties and Management, Inc., accepted the Distinguished Service Award. Empire Ball Chairman Peter L. DiCapua, Chairman of CodeGreen Solutions, was honored with the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award.
According to Mark Gregorio, President, TEI Group, "We are proud to support such a worthwhile cause. DRI makes a real impact in bettering lives through diabetes research and programs".
